Biography

Drew Stone attended Harvard, where he majored in physics, also spending two years studying in London as an exchange student. Stone competed for US teams in hockey (field) at the 1983, 1987, and 1991 Pan American Games, in addition to his 1984 Olympic appearance. Stone took a leave of absence from Harvard in 1984 to make the Olympic team, moving to California and supporting himself as a landscaper and gardener.

Stone later became an engineer with Ensign Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company for five years. He then had various jobs in engineering, working with Melles Griot in Auburn, Massachusetts; JDS Uniphase Corporation in Windsor, Connecticut; D&P Instruments in Simsbury, Connecticut; and Coherent in Bloomfield, Connecticut. In 2014 Stone started Stoneworks Project Management Consulting, a project and program management consulting services in high-tech manufacturing organizations.
