Wendy Ager was selected for her first World Championship in 1973 and reached the quarter finals in Gothenburg that year. She was twice a British women’s foil champion, once each under her maiden name of Ager and married name of Grant, and represented Great Britain in both the 1976 Montreal and 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.
She worked as a physiotherapist but relocated to Norway in the early eighties after her husband found work as a toxicologist in the country. An excellent violinist and accordionist, she has played with and composed for the Norwegian folk group De Frilynde for a couple of decades.
