Marco Falchetto was Austrian individual foil champion five times in 1992, 1996, 1999-2000, and 2002. He qualified for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics and came fourth with the Austrian team. Individually, he was eliminated in the first round. At European Championships, Falchetto won a silver medal at Funchal in 2000 and a bronze medal at Plovdiv in 1998, both with the Austrian team.
