Biography

Austrian fencer Arthur Griez von Ronse reached the quarter-finals in the individual épée at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. He then lost three of his bouts in his pool, which was won by upcoming Olympic Champion Paul Anspach, and was eliminated. The Griez von Ronse family traces its origins to Ireland.
