Austrian fencer Camillo Müller finished eighth and last in the individual sabre event at the 1900 Paris Olympics. Two years earlier he had won the German and Austrian Championships. From 1900-01 he was president of the German and Austrian Fencing Association. The next year all Austrian clubs withdrew, and the association was dissolved. In 1904, the Austrian Fencing Academy was founded.
