Werner Plattner was an Austrian sabre fencer who participated in the 1948 London and 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He reached the second of four rounds with the team in 1948 and was eliminated in the first round individually. At Helsinki he placed fifth individually and narrowly missed reaching the final four with the team.
