Geza Tatrallyay was an épée fencer who competed at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, after winning the 1976 Canadian title. Born in Hungary his family emigrated to Canada after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Tatrallyay studied at the University of Toronto, and then Harvard, but later earned a Rhodes Scholarship, studying at St. Catherine’s College in Oxford.
Tatrallyay became an author of memoirs, poetry, and children’s books. He worked in government, finance, and various international organizations. He has been with the venture capital firm Syntaxis Capital, serving on the origination and investment committee. He has also worked with two renewable energy developers, Toronto-based JCM Capital and Vienna-based GreenSource GmbH.
