Georges Trombert was French épée champion in 1911. He was the son of the director of Amphions-les-Bains. After his fencing career, Trombert worked in various careers. He was a salesperson, an engineer, and a publicist, and later became a radio host at Radio-Lyon and the author of several police and serial novels, writing under various pseudonyms. He was also made a Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur on 27 December 1923, for his service in World War I.
