Biography

Bernd Uhlig was a fencer who placed fifth with the East German épée team at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. Four years later in München the team was eliminated in the first round. Individually Uhlig was eliminated in the third round in München. Domestically he never won a national title. Uhlig later became a regional coach in the Modern Pentathlon Association of Brandenburg.
