Besides competing in the Olympic team competition, C. S. Woodruff competed in both individual events at the 1904 Olympics – finishing eighth in the Double York Round and fourth in the Double American Round. Woodruffs only national championship came in the Double American Round in 1901, an event he also won at the Ohio State Championships in 1904 and 1906. Woodruff’s wife, Emily, was also a fine archer who finished fourth in both the women’s individual events in the 1904 Olympics.
