Shlomo Eyal was a foil fencer who competed for Israel at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He trained as a teenager in Great Britain. Eyal also competed at the World Championships in 1981, 1982, 1983, 1986, and 1987. After the Los Angeles Games, Eyal remained in the United States for two years but then returned to Israel. From the early 1990s he was director of the sports department at the Gilboa Regional Council.
