Biography
Andrea Cipressa was a member of the golden Italian foil team of 1984. He competed in the first two rounds, but the team then continued without him from the quarter-finals on. Cipressa was also a team member when the Italians won the team world title in 1985, 1986 and 1990. In 1985 he also added an individual medal, winning the silver behind compatriot Mauro Numa. In 1988 he was the Italian champion.
