Yeom Eun-Hyun was the center of the successful basketball team of Yonhi College (later Yonsei University) that won the 1936 Japan Basketball Championship. He was one of three Korean players selected for the Japanese team at the 1936 Olympics. Immediately after World War II, Yeom was appointed professor for Western History at Yonsei University. Since 1957 he held the same position at the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University.
