Floriane Issert

Initial reports mentioned that it was Floriane Issert, a Gendarmerie non-commissioned officer, who rode the mechanical horse along the River Seine with the Olympic Flag, but this was apparently in error, and it was actually Morgane Suquart. Issert did, however, appear just after, on a real horse then on foot, to cross the Pont d’Iéna to the Place du Trocadéro and deliver the Olympic Flag to be raised in front of the Eiffel Tower.
