Alfred Klausnitzer fenced épée at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He was the son of Franz Xavier Klausnitzer, who was the mayor of Litvinov, where Alfred was born. Alfred became head of the local fencing club after returning from Berlin.
Alfred Klausnitzer supported the annexation of the Sudetenland by Germany and in 1938 received the Sudeten Commemorative Medal for his work. During World War II he served with the Wehrmacht in Teplice. He later settled in West Germany, where he died.
