Aage Madsen was a doubles specialist who was Danish doubles champion in 1916 and won the title indoors in 1915, 1918, and 1919. He did play singles at the 1912 Olympics, in addition to partnering Axel Thayssen in doubles. Madsen became a sports leader, serving on the board of his club, B93 København from 1917-19, and was vice-chairman of the Danish Lawn Tennis Association from 1920-24.
