Agustín García made his coaching début with the Chihuahua team, leading them to the national championship. He then was named the national team coach, and finally coached at Ola Verde, leading them to three national titles. García was inducted into the Chihuahua State Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Comedep Hall for the Mexican Council of Sports and Professional Shows in 2014.
