Ahmed Moustafa spent his entire football career, from his début with the youth squad in 1955 through his retirement in 1967, with Zamalek. With the team, he won the Egyptian Premier League in 1960, 1964, and 1965, and the Egypt Cup in 1959, 1960, and 1962. Internationally, he first represented Egypt (then known as the United Arab Republic) at the 1962 African Cup, where his nation was runner-up after being defeated by Ghana in extra time. He also played in four of the UAR’s six games at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, where Egypt lost the bronze medal match against Germany. He later worked as a talent scout with Zamalek.
