Biography

Footballer Juha Dahllund was 18-years-old when he joined HJK for the 1972 season, winning the Finnish championship in 1973. After spending one season with Kiffen in 1977, Dahllund returned to HJK, winning three more Finnish championships (1978, 1981, 1985) and two Finnish Cups (1981, 1984). In 1981 he was named the Finnish Sports Journalists’ Association Footballer of the Year. Dahllund also made 22 appearances for the national team from 1976 to 1984. His international début came in a friendly against Scotland in Glasgow, with the hosts winning 6–0. Dahllund then played in several qualifying matches for the 1980 Moskva Olympics, before playing in all three of Finland’s group matches at the Games. After the Olympics he represented Finland in qualification matches for the 1982 FIFA World Cup before ending his international career in a friendly against Poland.
