Biography

Giovanni De Prà was a goalkeeper who played his entire career with Genova CFC, later renamed Genova 1893. He appeared in over 300 matches with Genova between 1919-33, and helped them win Italian titles in 1923 and 1924. De Prà played for Italy at both the 1924 and 1928 Olympics, winning bronze in 1928. He earned 19 caps internationally with the Azzurri.

After World War II De Prà was involved in management with Genova. Shortly after his 1979 death, his Olympic medal was buried behind the goal at Gradinata Nord, the home stadium of Genova 1893.
