Nicolás Nieri played for Sporting Cristal in Peru and for the Peruvian national team at the 1960 Roma Olympics. Nieri studied at San Luis Gonzaga National College in his native Ica. He played for Cristal for the entire decade of the 1960s, winning Peruvian league titles in 1961 and 1968. Nieri also played in the Copa Libertadores de America in 1962, 1968, and 1969. He later became a professor of physical education at several state and private schools.
