A meat worker by trade, Pedro Arispe played fullback, along with Josè Nasazzi, and won two Olympic gold medals and one Copa America. The two complemented each other wonderfully: the class, timing, and athletic power of the “Gran Mariscal” Nasazzi blending perfectly with the solidity and rigorous position sense of Arispe.
Arispe played for the national team from 1924 to 1929 and was capped 19 times. He played his entire career in the Rampla Juniors club with which he won a national title (Primera Divisiòn) in 1927 ahead of Peñarol and Nacional Montevideo.
