Pedro Cea won two gold medals with the Uruguayan football team at the 1924 and 1928 Olympics. He added a title in the first FIFA World Cup in 1930, one of only three players, all Uruguayans from 1924-30, to claim that triple. He also led Uruguay to South American Championships in 1923 and 1924.
Cea was a striker who played for Central Atlético Lito from 1922-27, then briefly for Bella Vista in 1928, and finally ended his career with Nacional from 1928-34. He was the leading scorer for Uruguay at the 1930 World Cup, including the crucial goal leveling the final match against Argentina, 2-2, and was named to the World Cup All-Star team.
Cea later became a manager, coaching the national team in 1941-42 and leading them to the 1942 South American Championship.
