Alfredo Zibechi was a Uruguayan midfielder of the 1920s. Playing for Montevideo Wanderers, he replaced Abdon Porte, who committed suicide in 1918.
With the Tricolores Zibechi played until 1924, scoring 34 goals in 218 matches and winning five titles from 1919 and 1924. He made his début with the national team at just 20-years-old and remained there for nine years, earning 39 caps and scoring one goal.
Zibechi won three Copa Americas (1916, 1920, 1924) and a gold medal at the 1924 Paris Olympics when he played the quarter-final match against host France.
