Tisha Venturini played college soccer at the University of North Carolina, leading them to four consecutive NCAA titles in 1991-94. She is the rare athlete to claim victories in college, at the Olympics, a World Championship (1999 World Cup), and professionally.
A midfielder, Venturini earned 132 caps during her international career. She won a gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and helped the USA win the dramatic victory at the 1999 FIFA World Cup. She also played at the 1995 World Cup, where the USA lost in the semi-finals to Norway. Venturini played professional soccer in the US with the San Jose CyberRays, Delaware Genies, and Bay Area CyberRays, winning a league title in 2001 with the CyberRays. She later became the national spokeswoman for Produce for Better Health.
