Aage Brix played football (soccer) for the Los Angeles Athletic Club. In the 1924 US Olympic match against Estonia, Brix was hit in the side, badly injuring his liver, which ended his international career. Brix became a doctor, serving his internship in 1916 in Los Angeles City and County Hospital.
