Albert Cooper was a football goalkeeper who played for Trenton FC. He earned four caps for the United States, initially playing in the 1928 Olympic match against Argentina. After the Olympics, he played in a friendly against Poland, which ended in a 3-3 tie. He later played for the Trenton Highlanders, who won the 1937 American Cup title, and this enabled the Highlanders to be selected to compete in the inaugural football tournament at the first Pan American Games, though unofficial, in 1937 in Dallas, Texas, representing the United States. Cooper also played in two matches at those Games. Cooper was a New Jersey native, being born in Trenton, and later dying in Vincentown, New Jersey.
