Biography

Erhardt Kapp was born in Romania but came to the United States as a child and later played for the University of Connecticut. He was a second-team All-American in 1980 and first-team in 1981. After college Kapp played for the New York Cosmos from 1981-83, and then professional indoor soccer with the Pittsburgh Spirit from 1984-86 and the Los Angeles Lazers from 1986-89. In addition to playing for the US team at the 1984 Olympics, Kapp earned five caps for the US between 1983-85. He later settled near New York, running soccer camps and a soccer retail store.
