Biography

Fred Lutkefedder played in the American Soccer League (ASL) from 1933-37 and again in 1944. He started with the Philadelphia German-Americans, helping them win the 1936 National Challenge Cup, then played with the New York Americans and Philadelphia Passion in 1937, and finished in 1944 back with the German-Americans, helping them win the 1944 ASL title. Lutkefedder played for the US national team at the 1936 Olympics, his only international cap.
