Biography
Alkainetos won the Olympic boxing title both in the men’s division in 444 BCE and in boys’ boxing in 456 BCE. His son, Hellanikos, won the boy’s boxing title at Olympia in 424 BCE and another son, Theantos, won the same title at the next Olympiad in 420 BCE.
