Gerti Fesl was on the Austrian women’s gymnastics team that finished sixth at the 1948 London Olympics. Individually, she placed 17th as the best Austrian. She represented Union Wien (Vienna) domestically. In 1952 at the Helsinki Olympics, Fesl helped the team to a tenth-place finish, and was 71st individually. With the portable apparatus team, she placed ninth. Fesl was twice the Austrian individual all-around champion in 1955 and 1958.
