Maila Nisula was a Finnish all-round athlete who competed in gymnastics and basketball in the 1950s. Nisula was the TUL gymnastics all-round champion in 1952, which earned her a place on the Olympic team. She competed in multiple disciplines at the Helsinki Games, where she came fifth in the team portable apparatus event. As a basketball player she played in the TUL Championship for four seasons. Outside of sports Nisula worked as a shopkeeper and later lived in the United States.
