Biography
East German gymnast Martina Jentsch won the team bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She was injured during the team all-around event and could not finish the competition. Therefore, she was listed as 86th in the individual all-around. She also won team bronzes at the 1985 and 1987 World Championships.
In 1986, Jentsch won individual national titles on the floor and horse vault, and she won the floor title again in 1987. After German re-unification, she worked as a saleslady in a boutique in Cottbus, which she eventually took over after several years.
