Biography
Mary Wright competed for the USA team in the team event, the only women’s gymnastics event at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, with the team finishing fifth. Wright represented the New York Turnverein. Born in Arkansas to Francis and Mary Wright, her father was a civil engineer and the family apparently moved around the country quite a bit when she was a child. She later married Ernest Danker, although he died only a few years after the marriage.
