Biography

A year after graduating Don Krueger joined the United States Army in 1954, serving in the 14th Division in Korea. After his military service Krueger gained a registered surveyor license and worked as a maintenance manager. Away from the day job he enjoyed refereeing volleyball matches, eventually becoming one of only a handful of internationally certified referees in the US. In 1984 he was selected to officiate in matches at the Los Angeles Olympics. Krueger was later inducted into the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Hall of Fame and was bestowed with the US Volleyball Association’s Referee Emeritus Award.
