Not much of a technical student of the sport, Alfred Bouvier was more known as a hurricane of a hitter, with an abundance of power behind his punches. In the 1908 London Olympic Games lightweight division, he was classified seventh, after a second round stoppage against Great Britain’s Harry Holmes in his first bout. Bouvier was knocked to the canvas several times before the referee stopped the bout.
