Biography

Jos Bernard was a gymnast who represented Luxembourg at the 1948 London Olympics. Bernard finished 11th with his compatriots in the team all-round event, with his best individual performance coming on the horizontal bar. A member of the L’Espérance Gymnastics Society in Differdange, he was later made the club’s Honorary President. Prior to the Beijing Olympics in 2008 Bernard was made a Knight of Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
