Jean-Pierre Frantzen represented the Société de Gymnastique Bonnevoie. At the first national trials in January 1912, he placed 15th. After the final trials in June, he was selected as a reserve. At the Olympic Games in Stockholm, the team from Luxembourg, including Frantzen, placed fifth and last in the team event of the free system.
Frantzen worked as a mechanic for the state railway C.F.L. He was married to Léonie Brauch, with whom he had two daughters and one son.
