Arthur Amundsen won an Olympic silver medal in gymnastics in the all-around team event at the 1908 Olympics in London as a member of the Norwegian team that came in second, behind Sweden. In 1912, he won another bronze medal with the Norwegian team in the all-around Swedish system team event.
Arthur Amundsen was a merchant and married Martha Olefine Andrea Haga in 1910. They had a son and a daughter.
