Trygve Bøyesen competed from 1908-20 in three Olympic Games winning a medal each time with the Norwegian gymnastics teams: in 1908 silver in the men’s team event, in 1912 bronze in the men’s Swedish system team event, and in 1920 another silver in the men’s free system team event. Later, he became an honorary member of his club Odd Grenland and was honoured with the highest award of the Norwegian Gymnastics Association.
Bøyesen was a police officer. He was married to Anna Louise Aslaksen. Their marriage remained childless. He died after a long illness.
