Biography

Eugen Ingebretsen competed from 1906-12 in the Intercalated Games and two Olympic Games winning a medal each time with the Norwegian gymnastics teams: in 1906 gold and in 1908 silver in the men’s team event and in 1912 bronze in the men’s Swedish system team event. Individually, he only participated in 1908.

Ingebretsen’s father was a tram driver and later dye worker in Kristiania (Oslo). Eugen was trained in a lawyer’s office and later worked as a clerk and chief treasurer in an accounting firm. He remained unmarried.
