Frithjof Olsen competed from 1906-12 in the Intercalated Games and two Olympic Games winning a medal each time with the Norwegian gymnastics teams: in 1906 gold and in 1908 silver in the men’s team event and in 1912 bronze in the men’s Swedish system team event. Individually, he only participated in 1908.
Olsen worked as a travelling salesman but was listed as early as 1920 as an invalid. He died two years later at the age of just 38. He was married to Ingeborg Gustava Olsen, but the marriage remained childless.
