Polish-born Teresa Zielewicz was a member of the Austrian female handball team that participated in the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics. The team finished sixth and last in the round-robin tournament. Zielewicz initially represented her home country, playing 63 international matches and scoring 170 goals between 1970-77. In 1980 she emigrated to Austria. Zielewicz played domestically with Skra Warszawa and AZS Warszawa in Poland and with Hypobank Südstadt Wien (Vienna) in Austria.
