Han Hwa-Su was a South Korean handball player who represented the national team during the 1980s. In 1984 Han was selected to compete at the Los Angeles Olympics, playing in all five matches and scoring 15 goals. The South Korean women’s team won silver, only losing to favourites Yugoslavia in the round-robin tournament. It was the nation’s first medal in handball at the Olympics for either men or women.
