Michael Tucker

Michael Tucker was an outfielder who played at D-2 Longwood College. He was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the first round (10th overall pick) of the 1992 MLB Draft. Tucker started in the minors in 1993 with the Wilmington Blue Rocks of Single-A ball, but came up to the majors in 1994. He eventually played for 12 years in the Major Leagues.

Tucker was only with the Royals in 1995-96, but then played for the Atlanta Braves (1997-98), Cincinnati Reds (1999-2001), Chicago Cubs (2001), Kansas City Royals (2002-03), San Francisco Giants (2004-05), and Philadelphia Phillies (2005), before ending his MLB career in 2016 with the New York Mets. Tucker finished with a career batting average of .256, with 125 home runs, and 528 RBI. He came back in 2009 and played one season of minor league ball with the Newark Bears of the Atlantic League and then with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
