Lisa Eagen played softball at Iowa State University and was then recruited to play team handball for the USA. Eagen played at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and also won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games. She then played handball professionally in Europe, with two years in Norway and then a year in Germany. She was on the US National Team through 2003, captaining the team for four years, but retired after the 2003 Pan American Games. She later became a personal trainer, working with disabled persons at a rehabilitation hospital in Atlanta.
