Biography
Edmund Schallenberg competed for the US in handball (team) at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Schallenberg represented the German Sport Club in Brooklyn. He played in all three USA matches at the 1936 Olympic tournament. Although a New York native of German descent, as were most of the 1936 US handball players, Schallenberg died in Blacksburg, Virginia.
