Celita Schutz was a judoka who competed at the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympic Games. Schutz also won a silver medal as a half-middleweight at the 1999 Pan American Games and competed at two World Championships. She was ranked #1 in the US for seven consecutive years and won six US National titles, achieving a highest world ranking of #5. Schutz was a sixth dan black belt in judo, and also held a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Schutz attended Yale University, graduating in 1990.
