Biography

Abdel Majid Senoussi was a Tunisian judoka who competed internationally from the late 1970s until the late 1980s. In 1979 Senoussi won bronze in the middleweight division at the Mediterranean Games in Split. Four years later he had moved up to the half-heavyweight class when he won silver at the Mediterranean Games in Casablanca. These performances earned him a place on the Tunisian team for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. After receiving a bye for the first round he lost to the West German Günther Neureuther, who would go on to win bronze. Senoussi continued to compete for several more years, winning gold at the 1987 All-Africa Games in Kenya. He also worked as the national team coach and the technical director of the Tunisian Judo Federation.
