Biography

Adolf Harder was disqualified in the riding element of the modern pentathlon at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and consequently so too was the West German team. By profession, Harder was a policeman. Up to 1960 only policemen in the Federal Republic of Germany participated in international modern pentathlon competitions.
